to lay smoke, Gambier Bay is seen in the
distance listing to the side after taking several hits.
The Gambier Bay takes
a water line hit as it sits dead in the water.
(Note smoke going straight up.)
C.O. gives order to abandon ship. Minutes later the Gambier Bay was gone.
